What happens when your ideas are bigger than the moment you’re living in?

In Part 13 of our journey through The Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin, Franklin’s vision expands beyond himself and Philadelphia as he begins thinking about how the American colonies might work together.

Franklin’s Albany Plan ultimately failed—but many of the ideas behind it anticipated the cooperation that would eventually help create the United States.

It’s a powerful reminder that rejection doesn’t always mean an idea has failed. Sometimes it simply means the world isn’t ready for it yet.
