Are you actually making progress—or just getting really good at preparing to make progress?
In Chapter Eleven of Atomic Habits, James Clear introduces the third law of behavior change: Make It Easy.
Four ideas stood out to me: planning isn’t the same as doing, repetition matters more than the passage of time, our brains adapt to the behaviors we practice, and improvement comes from showing up and doing the work.
I also reflect on my own experience creating this podcast and how recording episode after episode has helped me become more comfortable organizing and communicating my thoughts.
You don’t need to be good at something to begin. You need to begin—and keep repeating it—to become good.
Until next time, remember: small choices become habits, habits shape who we become, and change happens one day at a time.
